Jim has been working in the Australian Internet industry since the mid 90s. For the last 19 years he has owned and ran StewArt Media and digital agency based in Melbourne that currently employs 25 people and services businesses nationally & internationally. They specialise in search & display marketing supported by conversion optimisation & content creation.
Jim is a prolific marketing speaker both here and overseas and has graced the stage at some of the largest digital marketing conferences including Retail Global and Pubcon. Jim is a proponent for the next evolution of search marketing, one that places an emphasis on building your brand over the antiquated notion that “tricks” will increase business growth
He pioneered streaming media in Australia with the first live webcast from Antartica in 1998 and the building of Australia’s 1st Internet radio stations in the following year. He has helped thousands of business owners over the last 25 years do business online.
He has appeared on several television shows such as The Panel, Sky News and A Current Affair discussing business related Internet issues.
Jim is passionate about a free & open Internet and lobbied hard against censorship proposals from both the federal liberal Government in 1998 and the ALP Government in 2008.
